I truly feel that one of the more significant problems facing mankind at this point in time is the lack of typing skills.

TypingWeb is the best typing tutor site out there. It’s free, supports Danish keyboards, and it just works.

Don’t waste any more time doing the typing nod. You’ll be amazed how fast you learn.

SecureZip Express is the tool to know when it comes to easy encryption. It has basic encryption as well as the most userfriendly public key encryption available to date.

Public key cryptography is a technology which allows for secure transfer of data between two parties, without the need for an exchange of a secret password. Pretty interesting technology, actually.

30 Rock

For some reason I waited a while before checking out 30 Rock, but I’m all in. It’s the first sit-com I’ve liked in a long time.

The jokes are close to perfectly written and skillfully delivered, high pace. The comedic aptitude of Alec Baldwin surprised me especially.

Having pretty much forgotten it was possible to make a funny sit-com, I give it 9 out of 10.

Tinychat is a simple web application done right.

You go to tinychat.com/name-I-made-up-while-typing, send the link to your friend, and you’re video-chatting.

No login required or nothing. Nice.

If you’re like most people, you know the curious feeling as to what exactly is eating up your precious harddisk space, keeping you from completing that collection of 21 Jumpstreet.

I took the advice of Lifehacker and checked out the free WinDirStat. It’s really useful to get a sense of the drives as a hole, and I think I’ll keep using it.

Paranormal Activity

I just watched Paranormal Activity, a Blair-Witch’y, indie ghost-story, and I think it really works. Excellent scare. Pretty dependent on lack of spoilers, though, so act fast for full effect. 9 out of 10 in my book.
